Why have your wedding photos after your wedding? Wedding at Rococo Gardens Cotswolds

I love the more unusual wedding and non traditional wedding ideas. It's becoming more common to have your offical marriage one day, and then a party or reception some time later.

Caitlin & Jamie had a very intimate wedding of just the two of them at a local registry office, but wanted to have some professional photos still in their wedding attire. They booked me to capture some wedding photos a few days after their offical marriage at the stunning Rococo Gardens in the Cotswolds. I adore this venue, its full of so many gorgeous spots, and made the perfect backdrop for wedding photos.

So why do it this way? Firstly; there's no rules with weddings - you can do them however you like and however suits you both as a couple.

Having your wedding photos after your day means less stress - you are already married, you don't need to worry about timings, having to do the rounds with all your guests and sticking to a timeline. This also means more time to relax into being photographed, time for more locations for photos, and simply more photos in general. There's more freedom with a post wedding shoot too; this couple also brought along their daughter for some intimate family photos which may not have worked on a full wedding day as they can be very overwhelming and tiring for babies and children.

You can also relive/extend your wedding celebrations! Everyone will tell you that weddings go quickly, so getting dressed up again and experiencing those special moments together is a beautiful idea to extend the celebration.

There shoot was simply stunning and it was so hard to pick just a few, but here are some of their highlights:
