I recently worked with a wonderful group of local suppliers on a staged/styled shoot at Prior Park Bath.
Prior Park is a beautiful venue, set up above Bath, overlooking National Trust gardens and the city. For a grand, impressive Bath wedding venue, it's definitely worth looking at.
A few monochrome images that work as a lovely set; the draping dress, impressive pillars and train. Huge thanks to the stylist and accessory suppliers collaborating to create this.
Our 'bride' model Kate caught in a natural moment of laughter; one of my favourites from the day as I love capturing the natural, less posed images too. How beautiful is that Bath stone wall in the background? Gorgeous against a white wedding dress!
I managed to shoot some 35mm analogue film during the day too. Below is a comparsion of film V digital mirrorless. Obviously there's heavy grain, and some detail lost in the film shot, but there is a beauty to shooting film/analogue that is incredibly hard to reproduce in digital. My next steps will be to upgrade my medium format camera (120mm) and experiemnt further with analog/film wedding photography. 35mm colour film is really hard to buy at the moment, and this was shot with a new brand to me, so there's a big colour variation here.
